How to consume the seed?

Due to their medicinal properties, avocado seeds have a bitter taste when consumed. However, to eat it, remove the thin brown skin, grate it and, if you want, bake or fry it over low heat, you will see that it will take on a reddish appearance. With the zest of the seed, we can use it to:

make some tea

  • To prepare this infusion, boil it for 10 minutes, let it rest for 5 minutes and drink it throughout the day.

Condiment

  • If the zest is well roasted, you can crush it with the help of the coffee machine, save it as powder and use wherever you prefer, as an accompaniment to salads, soups, stews, rice or pasta and others.

Topical use of the pit

Massages and rubs

  • Use the seed powder to mix in alcohol and let it rest for at least a week. Thus, you can use this mixture to massage in case of migraines, joint or muscle pain, for example.

take care of acne

  • Still with this powder, you can prepare an ointment to apply on pimples and boils to dry quickly. Mix the powder with a little hot water to form a paste. Apply between two layers of gauze and leave on skin until dry, approximately 7 minutes.

hair care

  • As for the hair, it serves to give more shine and fight dandruff. So, grate the seed while still fresh (do not toast it) and mix it with castor oil, letting it rest for 24 hours. Use it to rub your scalp and cover your head with a shower cap for an hour, then wash your hair thoroughly.
