It will just be us

After booking a gigantic table for 20 people, it's not good form to show up with just three guests.

I was a little late, wasn't I?

If you book a table for 8pm, arrive on time! Especially if the restaurant has a long queue and customer turnover. Unforeseen events happen, but it's not pleasant to arrive two hours later as if nothing had happened.

Is this normal on the plate?

Look carefully at the menu before placing your order. If in doubt, ask before ordering. If you order ceviche, be aware that it is a dish made with raw fish. It's not polite to question the food after it's ready and served.

Can you take the tomatoes, mayonnaise and arugula out of the chef's salad?

As a rule, the dishes come out of the kitchen the way they were conceived. Chefs can get irritated when a customer “plucks” their meals. It's normal to ask to remove one or another ingredient when you don't like it or even when you have an allergy or intolerance, but asking to remove four or more is a bit much, don't you think?

We will pay separately

It's not that this is an annoying phrase, but it sure is confusing. That's because there's always those R$ 20 left at the end that nobody wants to pay, because it's hard to know who gave more and who gave less. A more democratic suggestion: split the bill equally for everyone.

What's your suggestion? Oh no. I want caesar salad

It is understandable that the waiter's or maître d''s suggestion may not be compatible with your taste. personal, but it is still irritating to suggest and explain a dish to, in the end, simply be ignored.

Is this dish too spicy? Is it too juicy? Is the sauce too thick?

The customer has the right to question his meal, but the server can get a little bored answering so many questions about a simple pasta, for example.
