The beginning of every baby's life is marked by several precautions. Bathing, feeding and bedtime are the main ones.
For every mother and father, this is a critical period, as the child is not yet able to carry out any tasks on his own. Even if they needed help, they didn't imagine that that helping hand would come from the Argentine police.
Having given birth to identical twins, Valentín and Lorenzo, the parents still didn't know how to distinguish the babies, either by a birthmark or some sign on the body.
The only means of finding out who was who was in wearing different clothes for the little ones. However, after vomiting in the maternity ward, the babies had to take off their clothes and the affliction began.
To bathe the twins, it was necessary to remove the identification bracelets and different clothes. Mixed up, the parents didn't know who was Valentín and who was Lorenzo.
To help parents in their mission to identify twins, the Ministry of the Interior of Argentina, through the National Registry of Persons, contributed to solving the mystery of “who is who”.
By collecting fingerprints after birth, experts compared what was on the document with the impressions taken by the little ones after the incident.
The result of the collection of biometric data by the Ministry of the Interior only confirmed the parents' suspicions about who was who.
With their identities confirmed, the parents were able to solve the mystery. Now, Lorenzo and Valentín can be properly identified.
