When we have an empty stomach, the best thing is to always eat lighter foods so as not to hinder or disrupt digestion so soon. Therefore, for breakfast, it is common and popular for people to choose fruits, cereals, tapioca or wholemeal bread, as they are rich in fibers that help in the process of making the fecal cake.
Despite this, there are those who tend to get heavy in this first moment of daily eating. Therefore, we think it is important to emphasize which foods can be harmful and why. See four examples.
Heavy foods to start the day
1. Refrigerator
This one may seem obvious, but believe it or not, many people share the habit of consuming this drink first thing in the morning. In parallel with this, we must point out that soda has a large amount of phosphoric acid. It hinders the work of the stomach to produce gastric acid, which greatly delays the digestion process, as well as the absorption of nutrients. Therefore, it is not advantageous at all.
2. Tomato
Many still don't know, but tomato is quite acidic. When consumed on an empty stomach, it can end up increasing the acidity that is already characteristic of the stomach, which can cause heartburn and other discomforts, especially in those who already suffer from gastric ulcers.
