The world has suffered from climate change. The summer of 2022 brought waves of heat at high levels and droughts have been severe, wreaking havoc around the world. The scarcity causes several countries to adopt severe measures. With the drop in the water level, cities and objects are on display. See more about finding objects submerged due to drought.

Low water level affects the world
The results of the changes climatic this year are the worst in history, as the heat has brought damage around the world. In many states in the western US, for example, strict rules were imposed, as the water supply had rapidly drained.
Lakes, rivers and reservoirs are experiencing low water levels, revealing ancient places and missing parts of history. There are those who say that these places should not be found.
Submerged places and objects that were revealed
Po River, Italy
This is the worst drought in Italy, as the water in the river has been rapidly diminishing. With the low in 2022, fishermen discovered a war bomb that was not detonated. The artifact weighed 455 kg and was found near the village of Borgo Virgilio.
Valdecanas dam, Spain
Spanish reservoirs were down 40%, which revealed the “Spanish Stonehenge”, known as the Dolmen de Guadalperal. This is a prehistoric stone circle that has over 100 standing stones, and it appears to be 7,000 years old.
Lake Mead, USA
The lake has had low water levels since the 1990s, but it was in 2022 that the situation deteriorated dramatically. With that, a boat from World War II was found in 1994. This type of vessel served to transport soldiers. A bomber plane was also found.
Mosul Reservoir, Iraq
In Iraq, a Bronze Age city has been found: the archaeological site of Kemune. Its discovery began during a time of low water levels in 2013, being exposed in the 2022 drought.
Danube River, Serbia
With water levels falling, drought has reached record levels. With that, numerous Nazi ships from World War II were exposed in the river. Some even contained explosives.
These and other sites were discovered because of low water levels. Climate change has affected the world and caused damage. Maybe this is the time to be aware of changes in the environment.
