This means that the cybercriminals behind the malware receive a percentage of the fees generated by paid subscriptions. In cases where the services are owned by the criminals themselves, they keep the full subscription fee.

According to data provided by the company specializing in digital security, Fleckpe malware has been active since 2022, however, its discovery only occurred this year.

The main victims of this malware come from Malaysia, Poland, Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore.

Isolated cases in these countries may not have gained the spotlight, but users from different parts of the world were also affected.

This wide distribution of countries in relation to the problem demonstrates that the scope is beyond what experts can predict, as it is a huge virtual threat.
