A snake in question received the name of Shazza and is a viper of the common type, but which has something really extraordinary. That's because she managed, in a single bite, to expel an incredible 270 mg of venom. Even the researchers themselves were surprised by the amount.
According to Australian Reptile Park operations manager Billy Collett, that's enough to kill up to 60 adult humans. Not to mention that Australian vipers have long fangs, which makes the bite even more deadly. It is certainly one of the most dangerous animals in the world.
Billy also says that this is also his biggest personal record, the previous one being 160 mg in just one bite. Furthermore, if we consider that the Park is the only place in the world with regular milking of
vipers of Australian deaths, this must indeed be a new world record.Meet the viper of death
Death vipers are one of the most dangerous species of snake all over the world, so that a single bite is very fatal. Thus, these researchers collect venom from snakes under observation to create antidotes. As a result, the program is able to save hundreds of lives across Australia in just one year.
On average, death vipers weigh 700 grams, which makes Shazza even more different from the rest of its kind. After all, the snake that holds the record weighs an incredible 1.41 kg, that is, twice as much as the others. In addition, it has a length of 102 centimeters, which is also longer than ordinary vipers. Definitely anyone's nightmare!
