Etéreo or Etérea is an adjective in Portuguese that means related to the ether, which tends to be volatile or fluid. It also has a figurative meaning, referring to what is sublime, heavenly or delicate.

The poetic and figurative sense of the word is used to qualify something considered divine or that is so pure that it cannot be material or of earthly origin.

Usually, this adjective is used to describe artistic works (visual arts, photographs, films, poetry, etc).
