Anvisa stated that this operation concerns only products that are in stock after sanitary inspection at the factory in Monte Alto (SP).
They detected that there were irregular practices regarding product hygiene, with serious failures evaluated by the Health Surveillance Agency.
To CNN Brasil, through a note, Anvisa stated that the products can still be found for sale on market shelves or can still be located in distribution stocks. Those products that are available are safe and can be consumed.
All irregularities found, according to Anvisa, are compromising in relation to the final product. Interrupting this process of instability and irregularities will be relevant for the company to recompose itself within the parameters established by law.
Sale of Fugini mayonnaise will be banned
Fugini's mayonnaise will be punished even more after Anvisa identifies the use of expired condiments to make the sauce.
Anvisa will publish this week, specifically this Thursday, the 30th, guidelines regarding Fugini's mayonnaise batches. Products that were produced from December 20, 2022 to March 21, 2023 will be prohibited from sale.
In addition to banning sales, all products that have an expiration date for the first three months of 2024 that are on the shelves must be recalled.
This same measure will also be applied to lots with an expiration date of December 2023 and with numbers starting at 354.
In a note, Fugini points out that the products that are still on sale are safe for consumers and that the company will establish clear communication with its customers.
