Approximately half of the Brazilians who use the PIX tool did not configure transaction limits, even though 70% of users know that this adjustment is possible. The numbers came from research by C6 Bank, done in collaboration with IPEC, in a survey carried out between the period of May 20th and 27th, which interviewed more than 2 thousand people from Classes A, B and C with access to Internet.
Among all respondents, approximately 47% have not yet adjusted the limits for transfer via PIX, an adjustment that is possible according to the time and type of transaction.

With the limits added by the Central Bank last year, in November, in order to increase security in the face of the already perceived increase in crimes involving the tool. Previously, the biggest concern was with kidnappings in which people were forced to make transfers via PIX, now, the sector is faced with an increase in robberies and thefts of electronic devices on which it is possible to install banking applications, which are often followed by bank transfers shortly after the theft.
According to the survey, 36% of Brazilians have already readjusted the limit for transfers via PIX and approximately 6% of them made the adjustment in only one of the banks they use, and finally, 12% answered that they did not remember if they had made the adjustment or not.
To change the PIX limit is simple, in your bank application, you must enter the PIX area and search for the “LIMITES PIX” category, in order to be able to adjust the daily limit of the function.
Due to the determination of the Central Bank, the financial institution must immediately carry out the readjustment request in case of request to reduce the value, now, if it is a request for an increase, it is necessary to wait for the bank's evaluation, which can return between 24 and 48 hours.
