4 people who shouldn't consume red meat all the time
Among the people are:
1. Those with bowel problems
Meat needs more time to digest and, for this reason, its consumption may affect people with a sensitive stomach. The person may experience severe bloating and discomfort due to toxins in the gastrointestinal tract.
2. allergic
For these people, it is recommended to avoid the consumption of red meat due to allergic reactions. Recently, scholars have reported the discovery of a rare syndrome called alpha-gal. It is an allergy to products made from mammals that can cause hives, itchy and/or scaly skin (eczema), runny nose, headache, wheezing or shortness of breath, stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting, and swelling in parts of the body such as the lips, face, tongue, and throat.
3. people with diabetes
Due to the saturated fat present in steak, constant consumption can lead to the accumulation of LDL cholesterol and increase blood pressure. For this reason, diabetic people who are already at risk for cardiovascular disease should avoid it.
4. Family history of colorectal cancer
The consumption of red meat by people who already have a genetic predisposition to colon cancer is not recommended. Researchers associate this type of meat with the formation of this cancer, increasing the chances of about 28%. Stay tuned: if you are among some of these groups, the best option is to choose the consumption of lean animals such as deer and wild boar because they have less saturated fat.
