Netflix reveals surprising data
The surprise comes from the fact that Netflix tends to be excessively reserved in its internal data. The data released showed the number of accounts that watched the productions for at least two minutes. The period of time analyzed includes the initial 28 days of launching each work.
At the top of the list, as you'd expect, is the Bridgerton series with 82 million accounts reached. Then comes the first part of Lupine and The Witcher, each like 76 million.
In the film category, Extraction was the work that took first place. In all, the film reached 99 million accounts. Then comes Bird Box, with 89 million and Spenser Confidential with 85 million.
10 best movies and series
Netflix's director's presentation even ranked the top 10 movies and series. The criterion for selection was the total hours watched during the first 28 days of each one's debut.
First, again, is Bridgerton, clocking in at a whopping 625 hours. Then came Money Heist, with 619 million hours, followed by Stranger Things, which has 582 million hours.
Among movies, Bird Box tops the list of hours watched, totaling 282 million. Then comes Extraction and The Irishman (The Irishman), with 231 million and 215 million hours respectively.
Strategy
Netflix's sharing of audience data wasn't just to impress audiences.
The platform has been suffering competition from several companies at a crucial time. Currently, the production of content for streaming is on the rise.
Positioning itself as an impact platform is a decisive factor in winning the best productions. At this point, Netflix's audience presentation really impacted the productive sector.
