for adults
For adults, the American Sleep Academy recommends between 7 and 9 hours of sleep a night. While some people may be fine with fewer hours, others need more. What matters most is that you feel rested and alert throughout the day.
Seniors may also need less sleep, but it's still important that they get enough sleep to feel rested and alert during the day.
For children and teenagers
