Enem registration fee can be paid until June 21

This Friday (16) ends the deadline to enroll in the National High School Exam (Enem) 2023. This means that all high school and university entrance students must be careful not to miss the deadline.

However, it is worth noting that payment of the registration fee does not need to be made on Friday. In fact, the date to settle the amount of R$ 85 was extended until the 21st of June, on Wednesday of the next week.

It is also important to say that payment of the registration fee can be made through Pix, boleto, credit card or direct debit. In addition, many students are entitled to exemption from payment due to various circumstances.

The Enem 2023 tests are scheduled for November 5th and 12th in the 27 units of the Federation. Further information about the event is available at

What is the Enem for?

The National High School Examination is an assessment carried out annually in Brazil. It was created with the objective of evaluating the quality of education in the country and providing a standardized score for students who wish to enter higher education.

However, over the years, the exam has acquired other purposes. One of the best known is serving as a direct gateway to higher education institutions.

Many public and private universities use the Enem score as a criterion for selection and entry into their undergraduate courses.

The test is also used as a selection criterion in federal government programs, such as the Unified Selection System (Sisu), which allows access to vacancies in universities institutions, and the University for All Program (ProUni), which grants scholarships at private institutions.

In addition, Enem is also used to obtain student financing through FIES (Student Financing Fund).

Finally, it should be noted that the Enem also allows candidates who have not completed high school to obtain a certificate of completion.
