In recent years, computer scientist and former engineer from Google Ray Kurzweil, who is currently 75 years old, has made some shocking revelations about advances in technology and medicine.
Kurzweil received the National Medal of Technology in 1999 and was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2002.

Among the scientist's shocking predictions, including ones about immortality, are now resurfacing in a YouTube video series by tech vlogger Adagio.
What has left Internet users most perplexed is the long history of correct “prophecies” that Ray Kurzweil boasts, having predicted several technological advances that have already happened in the recent past.
For example, he correctly predicted the popularization of notebook computers and the incredible victory of a computer over world chess champion Garry Kasparov.
Eternal life in 2030?
In recently published videos, the youtuber Adagio shared statements made by Ray Kurzweil in the book “The Singularity Is Near”, or “The singularity is near”, in translation into Portuguese, which was released in 2005.
This book is known for some of Kurzweil's most impressive predictions. In it, the scientist claims that by 2030, humans would achieve eternal life thanks to technology.
According to Kurzweil, in less than a decade microscopic robots would be created to combat aging and disease by repairing our bodies at the cellular level.
The scientist categorically stated that this technology will extinguish the current need for dieting. That is, people will be able to eat whatever they want, while nanobots keep their health intact and their energy levels high.
“Nanobots in the digestive tract and bloodstream will intelligently extract the precise nutrients we need, order the nutrients and additional supplements needed through our personal wireless local area network and will send the remainder of the food we eat to be eliminated,” he predicted. Kurzweil.
Coincidence or not, currently, in 2023, medical engineers are working on using this technology to fight diseases.
Other predictions by Ray Kurzweil
In 2017, the ex-Google said in an interview with the Futurism website that he predicted 2029 as the date when an AI would pass in a Alan Turing's valid test, which challenges computers to think like us, thus reaching levels of intelligence human.
He also set 2045 as the “Singularity” date, when we would multiply our effective intelligence by a billion by merging with an artificial intelligence we created.
Although for some Ray Kurzweil's predictions seem exaggerated, many of his previous statements came true, as mentioned at the beginning of the text.
Among other predictions that came true, in 1999 Kurzweil accurately predicted that consumers would be able to design their own clothes using their home computers.
He also predicted that people would primarily use portable computers in a wide range of sizes and shapes by 2009 and that most of the world would have wireless broadband Internet access by 2010.
