Recently, the Netflix announced that it will block password sharing. After the company's meeting with shareholders, they only informed that the fact will happen soon. The company did not disclose the date for the block to happen and there are only estimates from Forbes. It has been expected that the measures will be applied in the USA during the first four months of this year, estimating until April at the most. In Brazil, the situation may be a little different.

The company reported that sharing passwords for different people hinders the development of the platform. In a statement, they explained what happened:
“While our terms of use limit Netflix use to one family, we recognize this is a change for members who share their accounts more broadly. As we roll out paid sharing, members in many countries will also have the option to pay more if they want to share Netflix with people they don't live with," the company said to the public.
Netflix will deal with the criticism
The measure aroused a rejection of the public that makes use of the platform and Netflix has aimed to deal with the criticism. In a statement, Ted Sarandos, the platform's co-CEO, issued a warning to the company's shareholders: "Make no mistake, I don't think consumers are going to love it right off the bat."
No block date has been published in Brazil and the US. Initially, the plan is to take the first steps in the United States and move on to other countries. That is, anyone who shares the same account password with several people should be prepared! This alternative will come to an end soon. In all, Netflix disclosed that more than 100 million users do not have their own account and use someone else's login.
