“I was going to the bank and I saw a bunch of police. This was around 8:50. I came running. I saw the school psychologist, I saw the school staff, the teachers who were in shock,” the man said.

“The police came quickly, as far as I could see. I asked, 'Where's my daughter?' and supposedly a man said the history teacher was shot. I went back to my apartment to go through my daughter's schedule, and she was in history class. I took my wife with me and we went back to school,” he continued.

“I saw that the security guard was lying under a table, in a circle [of blood?]. I went through the door looking for an attendant. I did not know what to do. I asked 'Where is my daughter?' and nobody was saying anything," said the father.

Fortunately, the said man's daughter was safe inside the school, having been found some time later.

What the authorities say

In a statement published through its official Facebook profile, the Serbian Ministry of Interior reported that the attack took place at 8:40 a.m. local time and at 2:40 a.m. local time. Brasilia.
