Disney has revealed the first teaser for James Cameron's sequel, as well as the official title, "Avatar: The Way of Water". Jon Landau, the film's creator, gave a presentation about the sequel. He stated at the panel that Cameron's scripts are always universal and deal with themes that raise identification. The director also revealed some details about the upcoming Avatar sequels, which will wrap up a four-movie story.
The Sully family will be at the center of each of the four sequels. Each story will be independent and have its own conclusion, according to Landau, who also stated that all endings will be satisfying. However, when viewed as a whole, the journey through the films will create an even more epic story, according to the director.
Only those in attendance were able to see the trailer for Avatar 2, which was shown behind closed doors at the event. According to the foreign press, the video was shown in 3D and featured short action scenes with little dialogue. Regardless, the general public will be able to see the trailer next week at the screening of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in theaters, or wait another week for it to be released online.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, Avatar 2 begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri and their children), the problems they face, the distances they must travel to stay safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies that face.
The poster also revealed that Avatar will be re-released in theaters worldwide on September 23, with remastered sound and audio. In Brazil, Avatar: The Way of Water will be released in theaters only from December 15th.
