The drink known for its greenish amber color with an earthy aroma has been consumed by thousands of people for over 5,000 years. Furthermore, yerba mate is said to stimulate metabolism and has even greater antioxidant properties than green tea.
How to prepare tea?
Before starting to make tea, you need to prepare the environment and know the ideal temperatures for all stages. That way, you need to separate 14 grams of weed for every 1 liter of water. In addition, it is important to pay attention to the water temperature, which must be 90ºC.
When the water is boiling, you must place the separated portion of the plant and let it infuse for about 5 minutes. After that, just strain the tea and that's it. It is worth remembering that regular yerba mate is generally used to prepare chimarrão, while toasted yerba mate is used to prepare infused tea.
