Federal Government discloses more information about the 'Voa Brasil' program; know more

The Minister of Ports and Airports, Márcio França, disclosed the details of the long-awaited fly Brazil program, during a press conference held this morning.

In order to facilitate access to air travel for people who did not have the opportunity to travel over the last 12 months, the program aims to offer affordable tickets and encourage tourism internal.

In particular, the program stands out for the fixed price of tickets, set at R$ 200. This measure aims to provide an economic alternative for Brazilians to explore different regions of the country through air transport, expanding their experiences and contributing to the movement of the national tourism sector.

Scheduled to be launched in August of this year, Voa Brasil will start out focused on retirees and pensioners, with a view to facilitating access to trips airlines for that specific group.

Subsequently, the program will be extended to public servants, further expanding the number of people benefited.

What sets Voa Brasil apart is that the program will use seats not occupied by airlines, without the need to involve public funds.

Leading airlines in the country, such as Latam, Gol and Azul, have already joined the project. High demand for tickets is anticipated, which will result in overbooked flights.

This significant occupation will allow for an increase in the number of flights and a more efficient use of regional airports.

To encourage ticket purchases during off-peak periods, the cheapest tickets will be sold at two specific times of the year: February to June and August to November.

These periods were selected based on the average idleness of 21% on domestic flights recorded during these months.

With the Voa Brasil program, each person can purchase a maximum of four segments, providing flexibility and travel options for beneficiaries.

The initiative aims to boost the tourism internally, stimulating movement at the country's airports and contributing to economic development.
