This Wednesday (8), the Ministry of Cities published the readjustment in Track 1 of the program 'My home, my life’. The measure was published in the Official Gazette (DOU), ensuring that the housing that will be built will no longer cost R$96,000 and consider the new value of R$140,000 in urban areas.
The measure was applied due to the difficulty that construction companies and the government encountered in resuming works that were paralyzed. According to both bodies, the value of construction under the program ceiling was below what was expected and made it impossible to resume work.

Range 1 also shows the readjustment in rural areas, from R$ 36.6 thousand to R$ 60 thousand. The project indicates that 82,720 homes will be built, with more than 18,000 for rural areas, 57,180 for urban areas and another 7,148 for non-profit entities.
As a rule of the program, families in Level 1, in urban areas, must have a gross monthly income of up to R$2,640.00, which was previously R$1,800. For families in the rural area, a gross monthly income of up to R$ 2,615 was established, approximately R$ 31,380.00 per year.
