First, we have to understand that this message limitation will be different between personal and professional accounts, as well as what happens when the daily limit is reached.
1. personal accounts
For personal accounts, after reaching the limit of 500 emails, the user must wait from 1 to 24 hours before sending messages through the platform again.
For people who are always sending messages to the same recipients, Gmail suggests creating a Google group, as this way multiple people can be reached with just one email address from group.
2. professional accounts
When it comes to professional accounts, organizations and institutions may have higher limits. When the account is still in the trial period, the limit is 500 emails or recipients per day.
If the bill is paid, there are some rules to follow:
- 2 thousand messages per day;
- 1,500 emails for multiple submissions;
- 10k for total recipients;
- 3k for unique recipients.
Group send limit for companies
In this case, there are also some rules. See them all below:
- 1,800 emails per hour to groups on Google account workspace;
- 6.2 million recipients per hour (summing up sends from all account users);
- 50,000 external recipients per day (limit of recipients outside of the Google Workspace account who can receive email from a group);
- For domains with up to 10,000 users, limit of 100,000 external recipients per day (to receive content from account groups);
- For domains with more than 10,000 users, limit 1 million external recipients per day (to receive content from groups).
