Readjustment for civil servants was not approved

On the last 16th, trade unionists representing federal civil servants met with the Federal government. On the agenda were the salary readjustment and the increase in food stamps.

The government's proposal considered that wages would be readjusted by 7.8% and an increase of R$ 200 in food vouchers. These values would cost R$ 11.2 billion to the public coffers, with the amounts transferred from March 1st.

The readjustments would be effective mainly for lower-paid employees, as directed by the government.
