Is it possible to find old photos from Google Maps?
Yes it is! However, we should pay attention to the fact that this tool started to work only in 2010, which means that not all memories can be reviewed. In addition, some places only won photos in the following years. So even though you can't find photos from 2010, you might find photos from 2013 or sometime after.
Anyway, you can revisit your neighborhood, the street of your childhood, revisit that old school or even some of your old neighbors, exactly as they were 12 years ago. We are sure that for many people this clipping will be enough to remember some precious moments they have already gone through.
How to review old Maps images?
Few people know how to use this feature, but it exists and is available to all of us. So, pay attention to the following steps and get ready for a real trip back in time:
- Access Google Maps through your computer's browser, as this option is not yet available to be accessed on cell phones or mobile devices;
- Then, do the search by the name of the street or neighborhood you want to see;
- After finding the location, click on the red person icon in the lower right corner, then drag it onto the street to access Street View. In that first moment, you will see the street according to the last Google record;
- Note now that on the left side of the screen the date of the image displayed now is marked. In this way, just drag to previous years to review that same location, but with records from the past.
