'Traumatized': man goes to court after being rejected by a woman

A very different story has caught the attention of the international media in recent days. This is the news of the man who asks for compensation after being rejected by a woman in Singapore. That man is Drone Racing Executive K. Kawshigan, who claims to have suffered extreme trauma after receiving a 'no' from Nora Tan Shu Mei.

'Just friends'

Kawshigan met Nora in 2016 and the two have since developed a solid friendship. However, the executive felt much more for Nora than a feeling of friendship, which did not happen on the other side. Thus, everything begins to change when Kawshigan decides to assume his love for his friend, who claimed to see him only as a close friend.

For Kawshigan, the rejection was not at all easy, proof of which is that he filed a claim for damages at the Singapore Magistrates' Court. At the time, he claimed that the rejection caused him “ongoing trauma”, which culminated in a reduction in his earning capacity. However, the process did not advance.

On the contrary, the Court overturned the request with the statement that it was an “abuse of process”. Including, Kawshigan had to pay an amount for Nora's expenses with legal costs. Even so, the executive did not give up and decided to take the issue to the highest court in his country, the Supreme Court of Singapore.

An indemnity of BRL 11.5 million

Now that the lawsuit reaches the Supreme Court of Singapore, the request is for compensation in the amount of R$ 11.5 million. Previously, Kawshigan asked for an amount equivalent to R$ 85,500, but was unable to do so. In the case, Nora's defense alleges that Kawshigan behaves abusively by being insistent.

Thus, Nora filed a request for a restraining order, which was accepted by the justice of Singapore and which determines that Kawshigan stay away from her during the course of the process. For her, there is a clear attempt to coerce her through threats to meet a man's emotional and sexual needs.
