How is communication with emojis at work seen around the world?
Check out the most significant conclusions of the research now:
1. Some feel that messages need an emoji to complete themselves
According to the survey, 67% of respondents feel closer in a conversation when sending messages with emojis to someone.
The company Slack believes that emoji can go far on the empathy meter, being a way to bring co-workers closer together. In addition, it is also a way of saying something to a colleague bluntly – thus facilitating communication, and making it lighter.
2. Some emojis are considered ambiguous
During the interview, around 58% of respondents stated that they had no knowledge of specific emojis with multiple meanings. An emoji can mean many things to many people – different countries, cultures, styles and expectations – so its meaning will never be one.
3. For a distributed team, an emoji can be worth a thousand words
When the emoji is really accepted by everyone at work, it can help a lot in communication. Emojis allow for more nuance as well as speed up communication in the workplace. Therefore, it is very interesting when a company has its own emoji “language” for internal communication.
