The lack of information, unfortunately, is something present in the lives of the vast majority of people. It is common for Brazilians not to know how to deal with a situation due to lack of knowledge. Simple examples such as paying for minimum consumption or losing a bar order go unnoticed. 1. Consumer name must be cleared after five days of debt payment

As decided by the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), Serasa is obliged to remove the name of the consumer from the system after a maximum of five days after payment of the debt.

2. If you lose the order, you are not obliged to pay for it.

According to the Consumer Protection Code, the customer is not obliged to pay for the order if it has disappeared. The sole and exclusive responsibility of the customer is to pay for the consumption.

3. Bus robbery pays compensation

The Consumer Defense Code defines that public transport must be carried out with total safety for passengers. Therefore, any damage they suffer is the responsibility of the company to repair.

4. Banks should offer free services

The consumer does not need to pay for all the packages offered by the financial institutions, it is their obligation to provide the minimum amount of services to customers free of charge.

5. Delay in work generates compensation

As defined by the Public Ministry of São Paulo, all delays that exceed 180 days regarding the delivery of works must be paid to customers by the construction company. The value is 2% of the total value of the immobile with a bonus of 0.5% of that amount for each month of delay.

6. You have the right to opt out of online purchases.

If you have purchased a product online and want to return it, you have the right to return and refund at no additional cost within seven days of purchase.
