There are still BRL 7 billion "forgotten" in banks, according to the Central Bank

Almost 14 million Brazilians and more than 500 thousand companies have already benefited from the recovery of money “forgotten” in the bank.

The Central Bank's Values Receivable System (SVR) transferred the equivalent of R$ 4.168 billion in resources until the last month of May. That's what the BC report reported last week.

However, although the value is high, there is still a lot of forgotten money that can be recovered from Brazilian bank vaults.

According to the BC, more than 7.1 billion are still waiting for a rescue. However, about 62.84% of the people who are entitled to the money will receive amounts of up to R$ 10, at the most.

On the other hand, 25.16% have up to R$100 to be returned. In addition to them, 10.23% of Brazilians with access can receive between R$ 100 and R$ 1,000. Only 1.78% have more than R$1,000 to withdraw.

The system is still available

Launched in 2022, SVR was a way to withdraw money forgotten in banks and finance companies so that it could circulate again in the market. Initially, the first phase of the program was somewhat tumultuous.

However, after adjustments and some postponements, the system returned in March of this year. Who hasn't consulted or got the money can easily access the SVR via the Internet.

How to query money forgotten by SVR?

To check if you have any balance to be received on the SVR, you need to access the system official website, insert the necessary data (CPF and date of birth).

Afterwards, just check the instructions on the government portal to request the transfer of funds, if any. The Central Bank transfers the amounts through Pix to the account indicated by each customer at the time of transfer.

In addition, the government made it clear that there is no other email address, in addition to the one informed above, to carry out the consultation. Therefore, any different information can configure an attempt to coup.
