Who can receive research grants?
According to the Serrapilheira Institute, black and indigenous researchers who have post doctoral, but who do not yet have a bond as teachers. In addition, it is necessary that it develop research in relation to the studies of ecology and sustainable solutions.
However, this is not a specific scholarship for biological sciences or environmental engineering students. In fact, it is important that the object of the research be ecology, but researchers can be from the disciplines of mathematics, physics, economics and other areas of knowledge.
The notice also highlights that the candidate must have completed the notice between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2022. In addition, it is important that the research is being developed in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Scholarship value and enrollment
Eight grants will be made available that will be entitled to receive a monthly grant of R$ 8 thousand. This is a higher amount than most grants, while the entire program, such as resources for carrying out research and infrastructure, comes to a total of R$ 10.8. For this reason, the Serrapilheira Institute points out that it is an innovative project, as money and scholarships are awarded.
