The list was informed by the Ministry of Education (MEC), through the Secretariat for Continuing Education, Youth and Adult Literacy. However, schools that have not yet signed up for the program can do so until the 31st of this month (July).
More than 2,000 schools are participating in the MEC program
According to the federal government, a total of 2,111 schools were selected by the School Census, in accordance with the requirements defined in Resolution No. 02/2021. This number of institutions represents a total of 652 municipalities covered by the MEC Program this year.
Beforehand, it is important to point out that the PDDE Water and Sanitary Sewage transfers resources to ensure the supply of
water under conditions suitable for human consumption. In addition, it aims at the sanitary sewage in rural, indigenous and quilombola basic education schools.“The objective is to contribute to an improvement in the quality of the school environment and, consequently, of teaching and learning”, said the Federal Government through an official statement.
This is one of MEC's initiatives to transfer and distribute resources destined to education in 2023 in order to support Brazilian schools and students in training.
How to participate in the program and apply for resources with the MEC
According to MEC's Social Communication Office, to join the Program, schools must be on the list of selected ones and send the documents below:
- Term of Commitment, available at this address;
- Minutes with the definition of funding and capital actions, drawn up and signed by the school community;
- Application Plan;
- Photographic report containing three to five photos, with good image quality, of the area and of the school building where the investment will be made, showing the need for improvement.
