The search Health and Work reveals other worrying data about the lack of a healthy routine with physical exercises, proving that it is essential to keep up to date with health and motivation.
In an interview with the news portal Brazil Agency, physical education teacher Alessandra Almeida, who works in Rio de Janeiro, approved the research results.
She also pointed out that the body needs to be in motion to be able to guarantee health. Alessandra believes that “physical activity is the most effective medical prescription, since it has the benefits of not only treating, but preventing many diseases”.
Data were collected in interviews with 2021 people over 16 years old and in the period from March 10 to 14, 2023.
Thus, among respondents who have the habit of practicing physical exercises, it was concluded that:
- 22% exercise daily;
- 13% do it three times a week;
- 8% twice a week;
- 5% practice once a week.
The practice of physical exercises ensures productivity at work
The same research also discussed quality of life, mental health and habits in the work environment. In fact, 88% of people confirmed that, for them, being healthy means combining well-being mental, social and physical.
It was also possible to verify that 12% of the people interviewed have carried out periodic consultations with psychologists in recent times.
The combination of body and mind care generates health benefits and, consequently, makes the routine inside and outside work lighter and more productive.
In this sense, 94% of respondents agree that employees are more productive at work when they reconcile mental health and physical health in their routine.
To find that balanced routine, people need a healthy work environment. But, only 66% responded that their companies have time limits, meanwhile, 55% work in places with rest breaks and flexibility.
The data collected in the SESI survey prove that the balance between personal life and work is necessary to promote health. Likewise, maintaining an adequate physical activity routine is vital.
