Uber Black arrives in three more cities in Brazil
The new option has arrived to give platform users a more exclusive experience, with more modern vehicles being driven only by drivers with excellent ratings.
As of now, Uber Black is available in three more cities: Campinas (SP), Recife (PE) and Salvador (BA). With the expansion, Uber has increased the number of supported cities for this category from the six it already has. were available – São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Porto Alegre and Curitiba – to nine.
How to be part of Uber Black?
Uber Black's main goal is to provide a premium experience focused on passenger comfort. Cars must have four doors and a maximum of seven years of manufacture to be considered eligible to participate. Therefore, the platform will only accept models produced from 2015 onwards.
The company has also expanded its range of accepted car colors. In this way, it is possible to register vehicles in black, lead, silver, gray, navy blue, brown and white colors. To join Uber Black, drivers must meet the following requirements: have completed at least 100 trips in any category (except Uber Flash) and maintain an average rating greater than 4.85 stars.
Users in this (and other categories) have access to some security features, such as the ability to share a car's license plate, identify the driver and get real-time location information. In addition, it is possible to record the audio of the race and tell the police directly through the application. The platform also offers a travel insurance policy of up to R$100,000 for each ride.
