This action, according to the MME, is for the transition to be safe and adequate and not to harm program beneficiaries. In this way, they will keep Eletrobras for another period. Eletrobras, while it was still a state-owned company, was in charge of managing these programs. Now, after its privatization, Enbpar was created to guarantee the maintenance of the program.

Eletrobras privatization project
Since 2022, the company is no longer majority formed by the Union – which, before, had 72.22% of the votes. Currently, the Federal Government owns only 45% of Eletrobras.
