1. cheap products

Rich people don't usually spend money buying trinkets. This means that it is not a cheap product for its monetary value, but for its quality.

For them, it is more worth spending more to have what is really necessary and functional. Thus, millionaires will not waste time with fads and items that have no real use for them in their daily lives.

The truth is that food industrialized, snacks, processed and ultra-processed foods are not usually included in the expenses of a millionaire. It's okay that they have the money to pay for fancy food and private cooks.

However, food is an important factor. For many millionaires, even before wealth, they didn't just spend money on fast food "fun" food, for example.

3. Repairs that never end

You know that roof that keeps leaking and causing problems, even with the insistent repairs? Or even the car that keeps breaking down? Yeah, millionaires think it's wiser to replace everything at once than spend an even greater amount little by little.

“Although this is usually more expensive, they rationalize that something new would last much longer than something fixed, which would give them invaluable peace of mind”, argues the study's author.

4. garden maintenance

Yeah, millionaires were never fans of taking care of the garden and spend hours doing tooling jobs in the open air.

“What they were buying was time. Since they no longer needed to set aside an hour or two every week or month to keep their property, this gave them more time to rest, relax or engage in activities recreational,” he wrote.

5. lottery games

Finally, an expense that millionaires never had, even before the fortune, was with the lottery. Weekly games at bookmakers are definitely not in these people's budgets.
