In an interview given to Fortune magazine, Adamolekun explained that one of the secrets is to make personal life and work the same thing.

“I was never a person who separated work and life. I mix everything (laughs)”, said the CEO. According to him, it is necessary to love what you do, before anything else.

Before assuming the leadership of P.F. Chang’s, Damol Adamolekun has worked at giant companies such as Goldman Sachs and TPG Capital.

From that time, the executive explains that what remains is the teachings that successful entrepreneurs must always work, but always finding a way to make sure that it does not become a burden on them.

“I thought: it's fun. So, it wasn't like I had to work on weekends, it was just my life”, explained Damola, emphasizing that he always took his work lightly.

The CEO also explains that not everyone can make work as natural as he can.

For these individuals, Damol Adamolekun recommends at least one day off per week, in which the professional must completely disconnect from work and focus only on resting.

Damol Adamolekun's routine to be healthy and productive

In his interview with Fortune, the CEO of P.F. Chang's emphasized that much of his happiness with the "continuous work" routine is due to his regimented routine.

According to Adamolekun, his routine consists of:

  • Wake up at 4:30 in the morning and do a run of 11 km to 13 km to gain more energy and vitality throughout the day;
  • Start getting ready to go to work at 6 am, taking a cold shower and strong coffee;
  • Before leaving home, he check some numbers from the day before in your home office;
  • Arrives at 7 am at P.F Chang’s headquarters in Scottsdale, Arizona, and meets with the company's CFO and COO to align the main agenda of the day;
  • At 6 pm he checks his email for the last time, clears out the inbox, and goes home.

At the end of the day, Damola explains that he likes to get home, shower, have dinner and look for something to relax.

However, the CEO says that, if necessary, he is always ready to solve something at work.

However, he reiterates that those who do not have this “custom” can -and should- simply disconnect and rest, in order to “charge the batteries” for the next day, thus ensuring the quality of your life. life.
