Caixa Econômica Federal released more than BRL 35 billion for financing and credits for the Federal Government's 2023/2024 Crop Plan. The idea is to help farmers, small and medium-sized producers, as well as cooperatives.
The idea is that, of this amount, around R$ 1.3 billion will be allocated to family farming, for investment, commercialization, funding and industrialization of practices. The fees for those seeking financial assistance will be 3% per year for small producers and 8% per year for medium-sized producers.

For the others, a fixed rate of 12% per year was established. However, cooperatives are a little behind, with 11.5% per year. The idea is that this funding credit, made available by Caixa Econômica Federal, act as an incentive to pay expenses, such as inputs, fertilizers, seeds and other expenses with livestock, for example.

In addition to funding, Caixa Econômica Federal will also release investments aimed at marketing, in order to help with expenses related to the sale of agricultural products. Rates will be pre- and post-fixed at 12% per year for producers. Cooperatives will continue with fixed rates of 11.5% per year.
Credit aimed at industrialization may be used by small producers at a rate of 5% per year, and 11.5% for production cooperatives.
In addition, small and medium-sized producers can benefit from an initiative that exempts rural producers from complying with financial obligations rural financing costs, with a value of up to R$350,000, in cases of pests, uncontrolled diseases, climate catastrophes or reduction of revenue.

Finally, the last Caixa Econômica Federal credit line, aimed at investments, is intended for producers who intend to expand, implement or modernize their structures with credit from the Harvest Plan. In this way, they will have the most appropriate property and will be able to acquire goods and services to leverage production. There will be two different fees which are:
- Small producer (Pronaf): prefixed from 4% per year for investment in tier 1.
- Other producers: prefixed from 7% per year.
By the end of June 2024, more than BRL 364 billion will be allocated to the maintenance of national agriculture.
