Sony's PlayStation 5 (PS5) console is cheaper to buy in Brazil. The value fell again after the reduction of the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI).

According to the manufacturer, the PS5 model with Blu-ray player will cost BRL 4,399.90. The version with digital reader costs R# 3,899.90. The reduction represents R$ 300 less in the value of the products. That is, the same consoles cost BRL 4,699.90 and BRL 4,199.90, respectively.
The drop in the tax rate will also affect accessories and the previous version of the video game. The PlayStation 4 (PS4) now costs BRL 2,599.90, which represents BRL 200 less. PS5 DualSense, Dualshock 4 and HD camera controls are cheaper too.
It is worth mentioning that the DualSense control presented a decrease of R$ from the original value. Now, the piece costs R$ 439.90. Meanwhile, the new Cosmic Red control (red color) went from R$ 499.90 to R$ 469.90.
The other versions of the affected controls had a reduction of BRL 20. The price, then, varies between R$ 279.90 and R$ 299.90. The PS5 HD camera costs R$ 389.90, already with the updated price and with less IPI charge.
