Implementation of 5G connection grows in Brazil in recent months

The connection 5G is already present in all Brazilian capitals. This is the fastest internet offered by the technological market, being compatible with the advances of a society inserted in technology.

In January, with the effective implementation of the antennas, there was a considerable increase in 5G internet access across Brazil.

It was an increase of 3.6 million accesses, considering 17.8% of new connections among Brazilians. With technology faster than 4G internet, one-click responses will be much faster.

The growth was considered since the last days of January. Thus, Anatel (National Telecommunications Agency) recorded more than 3 million accesses to 5G in its purest form. Another 2.7 million users are still using evolved 4G, a supposed 5G connection with less power.

4G, still very popular in Brazil and effective for the vast majority, continues to be part of many connections. In January, 196 million hits were registered with the technology previous.

5G connection: operators offering the service

It is understood as a 5G connection in its pure state when there is the effective arrival of the internet. Before, Brazil used the 5G NSA (Non Standalone) that used the 4G internet antennas to be able to operate. The arrival of 5G AS (Standalone), the pure connection, is recognized through the antennas themselves and their effective means.

According to Anatel, Tim, Vivo and Claro are among the three main operators that offer the service. In first place, Tim appears with 1.4 million customers with the connection, taking over 39% of the Brazilian market.

In second place, Vivo reaches 1.1 million users of the new connection, and Claro is soon after, with 600 thousand consumers.
