O twitter accuses the Goal, the company that owns Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, from stealing trade secrets for its new Threads app.
The Social Media Advocate Elon Musk, Alex Spiro, sent a letter to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg claiming that the Threads service was built by former Twitter employees who were intentionally assigned to develop an app similar.

While Spiro did not provide concrete examples of trade secret use, the letter does show Musk's concern for Meta's user base and technical capabilities.
In response, Meta Communications Director Andy Stone vehemently denied the allegations, stating that no member of Threads' engineering team is a former Twitter employee.
However, the letter reveals tension between the two companies since Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion in October 2020.

Since then, Twitter has faced several challenges, including the suspension of campaigns by some advertisers.
After the billion-dollar takeover, Elon Musk downsized the company, which has reportedly led to it providing slow responses to glitches and technical issues.
Spiro also stated that Meta is expressly prohibited from tracking or collecting data from Twitter users, although he has not provided concrete evidence of this activity.
To back up the allegations, new Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino tweeted that the company is often imitated, in a clear reference to Threads.
Despite already being launched with the representation of big brands and celebrities, the app still lacks critical features like a web app and is still not generating any revenue.
This dispute between Twitter and Meta highlights the fierce competition in the social media world and the constant challenge of protecting trade secrets and technological innovations. The unfolding of this issue could have significant impacts on both companies' strategies and reputations.
