- The player who unravels the names of the philosophers first before completing the drawing wins.
1st gallows game: Philosopher with 8 letters
Tip: Known as the “father of philosophy”, he used the phrase “I only know that I know nothing” to define himself.
Response: If you said Socrates, congratulations! Socrates is recognized as the “father of philosophy” for his great revolution. Unlike other philosophers who discussed nature, he preferred to address essentially human issues. He openly recognized his ignorance, which gave him a lot of wisdom, as he thought he didn't know and truly sought knowledge, hence the famous phrase "I just know that I know nothing".
2nd gallows game: Philosopher with 9 letters
Tip: He spoke the phrase “I think, therefore I am” and besides being a philosopher, he was a mathematician.
Response: If you quoted Descartes, you were right! René Descartes' thoughts gave rise to the rationalist tradition. For him, rational knowledge was innate to human beings, and everything that raised doubts should be removed from true knowledge. His mathematical studies, on the other hand, gave rise to the plane of coordinates, which thanks to him made it possible to understand analytical and spatial geometry.
