The differences in amounts that will be paid in June correspond to approximately R$ 22.2 million. The impact of this readjustment, annually, corresponds to R$ 188 million.
State teachers receive readjustment
More than 16,000 public school teachers will receive the increase for the first four months of the year. In addition, all personal perks will also be paid effectively considering the new floor.
Additionally, all state teachers also receive financial aid, which is Food and Professional Improvement, in the amount of R$ 1,000.
To top it all off, professors who are in regency also receive an additional R$ 1,100 since February this year, corresponding to the Bonus for Stimulating Effective Class Regency (GEERC). This is an exclusive initiative of the state and applies to teachers who work in elementary and high school.
New salary floor approved
In May 2023, the state governor approved the wage floor. According to Caiado, the idea is to restore the salaries of active servants and also retirees, after the recovery of Goiás finances.
In this way, the value of readjustmentit can be equivalent to up to 14.95% for some state employees. For teachers who already have salaries higher than the floor, the readjustment was 5.93%.
