On May 3, a woman who was on board a Azul Linhas Aéreas plane was arrested shortly after the aircraft landed, in Belém (PA). She was approached and taken away by the Federal Police (PF) when she was still in her seat, as soon as the air vehicle stopped at Belém International Airport.
According to the corporation, the passenger had an open warrant for the crime of bodily injury. As soon as they found out that she was on board the flight that was going to the capital of Pará, agents from the Federal police positioned themselves to wait for her. How serious was the crime of the woman trapped on the plane?
As published by the G1 website, the Federal Police reported that the crime committed by the passenger was aggression. The woman would have caused permanent deformity to the victim.
As provided for in Brazilian law, such a crime can lead to a prison sentence of two to eight years. The woman has a preventive detention issued by the Criminal Court of the District of Abaetetuba, in northeastern Pará.
The passenger did not have her identity disclosed and her defense did not comment on what happened to the press until the closing of this text. Azul Linhas Aéreas also did not issue a statement about the incident.
