If you thought about starting the year 2023 learning new languages, know that this is the opportunity that was missing! There are more than 3,000 vacancies announced for free courses.
In Pernambuco, through the Department of Education and Sports (SEE), registrations were opened for 3,500 free places for language courses at the Nucleus of Language Studies (NEL). Vacancies are filled in order of priority. There will be 280 hours of the entire course, spread over 70 hours per semester over the next two years.

NEL works with the aim of schools offering learning resources in other languages to state institutions, in order to work according to the presented need.
Priority, students from public schools should apply from February 6th to February 8th. For all audiences, the candidacy starts on February 9th. The start of classes is scheduled to start between the 27th and 28th of the same month. The prerequisite is to be at least 13 years old.
Language course registration
Candidates interested in the vacancy should access the platform Sympla (www.sympla.com.br) and register on the website as instructed. After enrolling, go to the institution you chose to present your personal documentation: CPF, RG, proof of residence and, if you are still a student, you will need to bring the declaration school.
If vacancies are not fully filled, the language course offers remaining vacancies so that there is no wastage of vacancies.

- 06/02: Students from the school of origin (place where the NEL operates);
- 07/02: Students from other schools in the State Public Network of Pernambuco who applied;
- 08/02: Students from schools in other public networks (municipal and federal) who applied;

- 10/02: Remaining vacancies for students who dropped out of the course.
