How is this possible?
All of this is done with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Technology is increasingly present in our daily lives. This has, in a way, worried several sectors of society.
Recently, a photo also went viral on Pope wearing a Balenciaga outfit. The image was generated using AI, but it was so realistic that it ended up scaring faithful of the Catholic Church.
Thus, authorities are concerned about the use of this type of technology to maliciously manipulate conversations and audios. In the same way that the novelty is also used to spread fake news through deepfake videos - when a person's video and audio is digitally manipulated.
Situation became famous around here during the election period. There were many complaints that candidates were using this type of technology to create false news or rumors about their opponents.
While the situation is for entertainment, it generates laughs. However, a Twitter user made a prediction: “For now it's a singer's voice in another song. Soon it will be the voice of people in criminal calls or faces in videos as well. It's the beginning of chaos."
In the United States, the discussion involving image manipulation with Artificial Intelligence is already moving forward. In the land of Uncle Sam there were more than 36 thousand reports of people who claimed to have been deceived with this type of content, in 2022 alone. The information is from The Washington Post.
