Brazil is the third country in the world when it comes to searching for subjects related to fashion and beauty in internet search engines. According to a survey by Google itself, Brazilians are second only to Japan and the USA.
The information was exposed during Think Beauty & Fashion, held in São Paulo, at the bigtech office.

Google fashion and beauty search brings interesting data
To carry out the unprecedented survey, Google had the participation of, in all, 1 thousand consumers to study the habits consumption of fashion and beauty.
In addition, another survey was commissioned from Offerwise and involved 2,000 Brazilians on the main trends in the segment.
According to the data obtained, most Brazilians should maintain or increase purchases of fashion and beauty products in the next 12 months. 68% of all respondents demonstrated this claim when they were interviewed about fashion.
When asked about beauty, the number was even higher and reached 83% of the participants.
Also according to the information collected, consumers are more aware today than in the past. They are increasingly looking for wellness products and brands that have their purposes aligned with their personal values.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for products that make them not only look good, but also feel good. They want brands to have a story beyond their products and to show credibility, that is, not just lip service”. Farouk Azanki, head of business for the Beauty segment at Google Brazil, said in an official statement.
In all, 7 out of 10 Brazilians use beauty products to feel good, regardless of what others think. 17% of consumers beauty and another 7% of the fashion ones say they prefer to buy from brands aligned with their principles and values.
Finally, it was found that the biggest concern of Brazilians is to take good care of their hair. 44% of respondents said so, while subsequent topics are perfume, skin and makeup.
