Now, the company is planning major changes to the way its iconic burgers are cooked and prepared.

According to a report from the GMA, the signature burgers, including the Big Mac, McDuplo, Cheeseburger and Hamburger, will be undergoing a makeover.

The company promises that the burgers will have softer buns, caramelized patties cooked with white onion on the grill, more melted cheese slices and even an additional special sauce.

McDonald's recognizes its position as a reference in hamburgerssince launching its first sandwich in 1955. While it's hard to beat the combination of perfectly seasoned 100% pure beef, tangy pickles and the ketchup and mustard that made them famous, the company is committed to further improving its products.
