But, if you are a user of Gigante das Buscas and want to know what the company knows about you and the places where you have been, know that there is a way to access and manage such content. Understand below!
Check out how to manage your location information
To do this, simply go to Google's "My Activity" website and log in to your account. There, you'll find a detailed summary of everything you've done on the company's services, from your searches in their browser to your use of Google Maps.

In the specific case of Google Maps, information such as searches made, map areas viewed by you, offline maps opened and routes searched, among other details, are recorded.
This data can be useful for the company to improve the user experience, such as providing more efficient commuting options and faster search results.
However, if you value your privacy and prefer that Google not store as much content about your location, you can easily delete the recorded information. The process is simple, and there are several alternatives:
Erase specific data individually;
Delete groups of data referring to a period (such as “today”);
Delete all information at once.
To, for example, remove a single day from the location, you need to enter the same screen as your Google Maps timeline, select the desired year, month and day.
Then tap on “Delete”, following all other past information. The process is the same for all other records.
Google warns that deleting this data may affect the effectiveness of your use of the company's services, as they employ such content to personalize your experience.
If privacy is a major concern, you can turn Location History off. On the “My Activity” page, you will find the option to turn Location History on or off for your account or devices.
If you choose to turn off this tool, Google will no longer collect information about your location as often. This can be a great alternative for anyone who wants to limit the amount of personal data stored by the company.
Protecting your privacy is important, and Google provides tools to put you in control of your information. If you want to make sure your location isn't constantly being tracked, follow the instructions above to turn off their location history. So you can enjoy Google services with more peace of mind and security.
