Every month, they guarantee an addition to the regular monthly cost, boosting federal funding for Oral Health teams (eSB) by BRL 1 billion over the years 2023 and 2024.
With this initiative, the government seeks to improve oral health services across the country, promoting quality and continuous care by the teams involved.
Encouraging the work of oral health support teams
The Ministry of Health announced an incentive measure to reinforce the offer of existing oral health services. With the aim of recognizing the quality work carried out by oral health teams throughout the country, the general coordinator of Oral Health, Doralice Severo Cruz, emphasized the importance of this initiative.
The Oral Health teams (eSB) of modalities I and II, who dedicate 40 hours a week and are integrated into the Family Health Strategy (ESF) teams, will benefit from payment for performance.
By rewarding the good work and commitment of these teams, the government expects the quality of oral health services offered to the population.
This measure thus seeks to strengthen primary care and ensure increasingly efficient and comprehensive oral health care available to Brazilians.
