Last Saturday (15), the tycoon and entrepreneur Elon Muskused Twitter to reveal his newest venture: xAI, a company focused on the development of Artificial Intelligence.
Musk believes that AI could be the key to finally understanding the true nature of the universe and thereby solving the Fermi paradox.

Fermi's paradox
Named after the influence of renowned Italian physicist Enrico Fermi, this theory calls into question the high probability that there is intelligent life beyond Earth, and at the same time raises the mystery of why we still haven't found any evidence of these alien civilizations.
In short, the paradox asks: if intelligent, technologically advanced life is so common in the universe, why do we have no sign of it?
The dilemma arose when Fermi came across a New Yorker cartoon about extraterrestrials visiting Earth and, in a relaxed way, asked: “Where is everyone?”.
This seemingly simple question has triggered a deep scientific debate about possible explanations for the apparent lack of contacts with alien civilizations.
Over the years, several theories have been proposed to respond to the Fermi paradox. Some suggest that large-scale space travel may be impossible or impractical. Others consider that, in fact, extraterrestrial life does not exist.
However, Musk is convinced that Artificial Intelligence, in particular, a superintelligence called Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), can provide us with concrete answers.
xAI
Through xAI, the entrepreneur plans to develop this AGI with the ability to analyze vast sets of data from the universe and thus understand fundamental aspects that remain unknown to the humanity.
He believes that, with this technology, it will be possible to unravel the mystery of the Fermi paradox and, who knows, finally obtain concrete evidence of life off earth.
