The State of Rondônia is located in the Northern Region of the Brazilian territory, has a territorial extension of 237,590,864 square kilometers, its area is divided into 52 municipalities. The increase in population in the state is mainly due to the migratory flow to Rondônia. The first great migratory movement occurred around 1877, with the Northeast, due to the great drought. In the following years, the search for job opportunities attracted many people to the region. In the 1970s alone, 285,000 migrants arrived in the state.
